We are located in southwest Missouri near Carthage and East of Joplin. Our roots have always been in the cattle industry. Larry Aschermann grew up on a corn and bean farm in Illinois. Wanting to go to an agricultural school he chose Kansas State University. He graduated with a degree in Animal Science.
THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING OUR 35th Edition Charolais and Akaushi Sale. This fall we offered 65 user-friendly, front-pasture kind of Charolais herd sires. In addition, 8 breeding age Fullblood Akaushi bulls plus 6 Akaushi half-blood fat cattle are selling.
It was 30 years ago we started developing our Charolais cowherd to produce bulls. When we showed cattle as a merchandizing tool, our cow lines produced four National Champion cow-calf pairs. These same genetics now serve as a base for our Akaushi upgrading program.
This October will be our last big Charolais sale. Our Spring 2023 sale will have 10 Charolais 1/2 brothers sired by a son of Lock & Load’s full sister. We believe they will be something special. As we change our focus to Akaushi, our plan is to increase breeding cattle numbers in 2023.
If there is anything we can do to help with your next investment in making your cows and your banker happy, let us know.
